Birko’s new hire, Jeremy Adler, will be leading the advancement of the company’s latest food safety technology. The Henderson, Colo.-based company recently hired Adler as director of technology and innovation to assist in research and development.
“Jeremy has a very strong background in meat safety, antimicrobials and the production plant environment,” said chief executive officer Mark Swanson, in a news release.
Adler will work with the Birko lab team and the company’s equipment division, Chad Equipment LLC.
Before coming to Birko, Adler worked as the head of the Antimicrobial Technical Services Team at Ecolab, providing support in manufacturing plants for product and process validation. He also lead quality assurance for the Institute for Environmental Health microbiology lab.
Adler’s research has appeared in several peer-reviewed journals, including The Journal of Food Protection and the Journal of Food Science.
