Fresh Solutions Network president and chief executive officer Sherrie Terry plans to leave the potato and onion marketer March 1 to start a consulting company.
A successor will be named within weeks, according to a news release.
“She played a key role in helping us grow from the three founding partners to the current seven partners, with farming, packing, and sales operations that span more than 65,000 acres,” David Masser, Fresh Solutions Network chairman and chief operating officer of Sterman Masser, Inc., said in the release.
Terry became president and chief executive officer in 2010 after serving as vice president of marketing for Fresh Solution Farms. Earlier she spent 16 years with Chiquita Brands International, finishing as vice president of sales operations.
Terry’s experience also included roles at Campbell Soup Co., ConAgra Frozen Foods and Merck.
“I am excited about establishing my own company and the potential that it creates for working with other great companies across multiple categories and channels,” she said in the release.
“She has been instrumental in expanding our customer base and establishing our reputation as a category advisor through her application of category management disciplines and tools,” Masser said.
