The Sedro-Woolley, Wash.-based company has changed its name to Viva Tierra Organic Inc., according to a news release.
Viva Tierra Organic has been the company’s primary brand since its founding in 1993.
“Adopting Viva Tierra Organic as the official company name honors our organic roots and the vision of our founder, Roger Wechsler, while positioning us for great future growth, challenges and fun adventures in produce,” the company’s president and chief executive officer, Luis Acuña, said in the release. “We are looking ahead to another 20 years of organic success.”
In addition to changing its name, Viva Tierra will celebrate its 20th anniversary with orchard tours in Washington, California and South America, promotions and other events.
Viva Tierra ships organic apples, pears, onions, stone fruit and other commodities grown in the U.S., Chile and Argentina.
