C.H. Robinson Worldwide Inc., Eden Prairie, Minn., has been awarded the Human Rights Award from the City of Eden Prairie Human Rights and Diversity Commission.

Every year the Eden Prairie Human Rights and Diversity Commission honors community members who have made significant contributions to the city in the areas of human rights and diversity, according to a news release.

C.H. Robinson was nominated by People Reaching Out to Other People, a local nonprofit multi-service organization.

They nominated the company because they donated 1,100 pounds of fresh produce through the C.H. Robinson Community Giving Garden, according to the release.

The community garden started in 2011 and since its opening, 130 employees have been responsible for working in the garden.

Nominations for the award are accepted for individuals, non-profit organizations and businesses.
