California Giant Berry Farms ended its promotion with Chef’n, the kitchen accessory brand, by selecting Roxanne Chan as the winner for its Sweet Taste of Spring consumer recipe contest.
Chan’s Blueberry Corn Fritter recipe was prepared by contest judge Julia Myall, a professional chef who serves as California Giant’s chef advisor and cookbook author.
Eight other contest recipes in various categories will also be featured on the company’s website.
The promotion engaged consumers using the company’s social media tools and provided a place to share new recipes featuring California Giant berries, according to the company, which already has plans for a similar promotion.
“As this promotion comes to a close, we are quickly shifting gears into a new contest that is focused on summer smoothies in partnership with Hamilton Beach who just launched a new smoothie blender”, Cindy Jewell, marketing director, said in the release.
