Megan Jacobsen has been named director of membership for the Fresno-based California Grape & Tree Fruit League.
Jacobsen, whose family has been active in Central California agriculture for more than a half century, is scheduled to assume the new post Sept. 19, according to a news release.
“We very much look forward to Megan’s becoming part of the League’s staff,” Barry Bedwell, president, said in the release. “She brings a knowledge and passion for California agriculture that will surely provide value for the league’s membership.”
Jacobsen comes to the league from the Greater Fresno Area Chamber of Commerce where she was government affairs and communications manager. Previously she worked for an advertising agency.
Jacobsen is a member of Young Farmers & Ranchers. Her brother, Ryan Jacobsen, is executive director of the Fresno County Farm Bureau.
