A Canadian grocer is recalling cantaloupes over salmonella fears.

Etobicoke, Ontario-based Metro Ontario Inc. is recalling cantaloupes sold on Sept. 12 at its North York, Ontario-based Food Basics supermarket, according to a Sept. 19 news release from the Ottawa, Ontario-based Canadian Food Inspection Agency.

The affected cantaloupes, which have the potential of being infected with salmonella, were sold unwrapped and have no lot code stickers, UPC codes or product names on them.
