In his position, Borboa will be mainly responsible for sales of imported and domestic citrus to the company’s Western and Southwestern retail and wholesale customers, according to a news release.
He also will handle sales of other imported and domestic products.
“With our strong supply base of Chilean and Peruvian citrus that can land at Long Beach as well as in Houston, our growers will benefit from Dan’s deep product knowledge and strong salesmanship,” Mark Greenberg, president and CEO, said in the release.
Capespan North America is part of the Capespan Group of Companies, Cape Town, South Africa. In addition to Montreal, the North American division has sales and operations offices in Gloucester, N.J., and affiliated offices in Bakersfield.
It packs citrus from Chile, South Africa, Peru and California under a number of labels, including the flagship brand, Outspan, and the new easy-peeler brand, Clem Gems.
