Capespan Group Ltd. has named a new chairman.
Norman Celliers has taken the job formerly held by Paul Cluver, who had been chairman since South Africa-based Capespan was founded in 1999, according to a company news release.
Cluver retired on May 27.
Celliers, chief executive officer of agri-business investment group Zeder Investments Ltd., also serves on the boards of Capevin Holdings and Pioneer Foods Group.
Capespan markets fresh fruit to more than 60 countries on four continents year-round. The company also provides supply service solutions to international fruit trading partners.
The company’s brands include Outspan, Cape, Goldland and Capespan Gold.
Capespan is the parent company of Capespan North America LLC, St. Laurent, Quebec, an importer of apples, pears, citrus and grapes from around the world.
