Chelan Fresh Marketing, Chelan, Wash., has donated $60,000 to support the NFL’s Fuel Up To Play 60 program.

The in-school program encourages students to participate in 60 minutes of physical activity every day and eat a nutritious diet in an effort to fight childhood obesity.

More than 70,000 schools participate in the program, reaching more than 36 million children, according to a news release.

The Chelan Fresh donation will help fund healthy-eating or exercise programs in local schools, and help expand the Fuel Up To Play 60 program into supermarkets in the future.
