Choptank Transport wins Maryland Chamber of Commerce award

Choptank Transport, Preston, Md., has won the 2012 Business of the Year 2012, from the Maryland Chamber of Commerce.

The chamber of commerce gave the award at its annual award luncheon June 7 in Hanover, Md., according to a news release.

“It is an honor to receive this prestigious award from the Maryland Chamber,” said Geoff Turner, Choptank Transport president and CEO. “The award would not be possible without the tremendous work and dedication of our employees and the support from our excellent customers and motor carriers.”

Food Network “Ace of Cakes” star Duff Goldman was the keynote speaker at the luncheon.
