Classic Salads rolls out four organic blends

Courtesy Classic SaladsClassic Salads is expanding its organic line with a new blend of spring mix and baby spinach called Half and Half, plus three new romaine blends.

Watsonville, Calif.-based Classic Salads will show the products at booth 939 at the Produce Marketing Association’s Fresh Summit in Atlanta, according to a news release.

Half and Half marks the seventh product in the company’s baby leaf line. The others are Spring Mix, Baby Spinach, Fresh Herb Mix, Baby Arugula, Sweet Baby Lettuces and Baby Romaine.

Those blends are available in 5-ounce clamshells and bags, plus a 1-pound clamshell for Baby Spinach and Spring Mix. All of the baby leaf products can also be packaged for private label or custom blended to customer specifications.

Beside the baby leaf varieties, Classic Salads also offers organic Romaine Heart Whole Leaves and three new chopped romaine blends in 7-ounce clamshells. The new blends are Hearts of Romaine, Italian Salad, and Romaine Salad.

“Our growing line of salad blends and packaging options demonstrates that we are listening to our customers,” John Burge, vice president of sales and marketing, said in the release. “We know that flexibility and variety drives our customers’ success, so we are focused on converting customer needs into high value products and services."
