LEE’S SUMMIT, Mo. — The annual Jim Connell Memorial Golf Tournament for the Community of the Good Shepherd raised about $63,000 on June 3.

And it’s primed to surpass the $1 million mark overall next year, said Keith Connell, president of Stilwell, Kan.-based broker Keith Connell Inc.

The tournament is in honor of Keith’s father, Jim, who died in 2006. Jim had spent 41 years of his life working for The Packer, spending six years as its publisher.

Tournament proceeds go to The Community of the Good Shepherd, a home for developmentally disabled men.

The event was held at Shamrock Hills Golf Club.
