Convoy of Hope will have the first “Running with Convoy”, a 5K run/walk in Springfield, Mo., on Oct. 20.
The run will benefit the organization’s children’s feeding initiatives, disaster response work and U.S. community outreach events, according to a news release.
“Springfield is home to us so we’re excited to bring the community together for this event to help those less fortunate here at home, in the nation and around the world,” Jeff Nene, national spokesperson for Convoy of Hope said in the release. “It’s a way for families, groups and individuals to join in our efforts to make a positive difference in people’s lives.”
At each kilometer, participants will see culture from each of the four regions that Convoy of Hope serves the Caribbean, Latin America, Asia and Africa, according to the release.
Registration for the running event is $25 and for more information on how to register visit runningwithconvoy.org.
