Sliced apple specialist Crunch Pak will showcase two new salad kits at the Newark, Del.-based Produce Marketing Association’s annual Fresh Summit show Oct. 26-28 in Anaheim, Calif.
Cashmere, Wash.-based Crunch Pak’s new Salad Kitz line features two salads: Sweet and Creamy Tropical Salad, which includes diced sweet and tart apples, dried pineapple, mango, papaya, candied pecans and a creamy dressing; and Crunchy Creamy Waldorf Salad, according to a company news release.
The salads are the latest new product from Crunch Pak, which in September began widescale distribution of its Flavorz line of flavor-infused apples.
“It continues to be about innovation for us,” Tony Freytag, Crunch Pak’s senior vice president of sales and marketing, said in the release. “PMA is an opportunity to tell the industry what we’re doing to meet consumer demand for healthy, fresh, convenient food.”
