Crunch Pak temporarily suspended operations Jan. 30 so 500 employees could pose for a photo donning “12th man” T-shirts to celebrate the company’s sliced apples being served to halftime performers at the Super Bowl.
The Cashmere, Wash., shipper backs the Seattle Seahawks against the Denver Broncos in the Feb. 2 title game. It’s at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. Crunch Pak products will be stocked in the performers’ dressing rooms, according to a news release.
In the past, Crunch Pak supplied sliced apples for the Academy Awards and the People’s Choice Awards. The producer of those shows is producing the Super Bowl halftime show this year, and Crunch Pak was asked to supply product.
Moreover, Crunch Pak is sponsoring a message in support of the Seahawks on a giant electronic billboard in New York’s Times Square.
Crunch Pak products also were served backstage at the Grammy Awards Jan. 26.
