D’Arrigo Bros. Co. of California is adding horsepower — literally — to its on-going effort to find a cure for breast cancer.
The Salinas-based grower-shipper-packer of Andy Boy labeled vegetables, in conjunction with 2Xtreme Racing Inc., the monster truck racing team of Tonganoxie, Kan., has unveiled a contest in which entrants may submit design suggestions, according to a news release.
The grand prize entry will appear as part of the new paint job on the Bounty Hunter, one of the monster racing circuit’s most popular trucks. The new paint scheme is scheduled to be introduced in October.
“This design contest inspires creativity and will be fun for the kids, while at the same time encouraging awareness of the fight against breast cancer,” Margaret D’Arrigo-Martin, executive vice president of sales and marketing, said in the release. “We’re asking that each entrant incorporate the color pink or the pink ribbon into their design so that the new Bounty Hunter will continue to support and spread the word about this amazing cause.”

All entrants will receive an autographed Hero Card from Jimmy Creten, driver of The Bounty Hunter, and will be entered to win one of five copies of the Wii video game, Monster Jam: Path of Destruction.
