DD’Arrigo Bros. Co. of California plans to unveil an overhaul of the www.andyboy.com consumer website in the first week of April.

“It’s going to be a total revamping of the existing site,” said Gabriela D’Arrigo, marketing coordinator for the Salinas-based grower-shipper. “You’ll see similarities but the new site will have a lot more to offer. It’s going to be a more interactive site with more recipes, video blogs and information about the product educating the consumer.”

English and Canadian French versions of the revised site will go live close to the time of the Canadian Produce Marketing Association convention and trade show, set for April 2-4 in Vancouver. A Spanish version will follow.

The Andy Boy logo remains unchanged. But a new logo has been adopted for D’Arrigo Bros. Co. of California.

“The website is the first step in a process of a lot of new and different things coming this spring and summer,” D’Arrigo said. “We’re tapping into some areas we haven’t previously and expanding the D’Arrigo brand as a whole.”

The redesign is driven by demographics.

“The Andy Boy label holds a lot of water with older generations, but we want to make sure those values are instilled in the younger generations coming up who will soon take over the marketplace,” D’Arrigo said. “We’re constantly reinventing ourselves.”
