The Ottawa-based Dispute Resolution Corporation has terminated the DRC membership of Belfast Fruit Inc., Ottawa.
A Nov. 23 notice from the DRC said that the membership was automatically terminated on Nov. 22 because Belfast Fruit Inc. filed an assignment in bankruptcy, a violation of the DRC bylaws.
The DRC said responsibly connected parties to the company are Odile Tetreault (president), Eric Tetreault (general store manager) and Nancy Jacques (finance/director of operations).
The automatic termination does not alter the obligations of Belfast Fruit Inc. to settle disputes under the DRC rules should another member file a claim within nine months from when the claim arose or within nine months from when the claimant ought reasonably to have known of its existence, according to the notice from the DRC.
For questions regarding the bankruptcy, the DRC said interested parties may contact the bankruptcy trustee, who is Roch Bernier, with Bernier & Associés, Syndic de Faillites Inc., at 819-777-8666.
For information on potential implications of possible business relationships with individuals responsibly connected to members who have been terminated or expelled from the DRC, contact the DRC office at 613-234-0982 or e-mail email@example.com.
