Dole Fresh Vegetables sent eight winners of a salad recipe contest on a three-day trip to the St. Helena, Calif.-based Culinary Institute of America at Greystone and other Napa Valley sites in late June.
Naylet LaRochelle, Laura Duni, Joy Cauley, Jean Gottfried, Corrine Saffell, Cheryl Lindquist, Michele Wagoner and Letti Rockwell spent the time in culinary classes, competitions and excursions with Clinton Kelly, host of the ABC television series “The Chew.”
The contest was part of Monterey, Calif.-based Dole Fresh Vegetables’ marketing campaign, Salad’tude.
Entrants had to provide a story, poem, recipe or childhood memory describing what Salad’tude means for them, according to a news release. They submitted photos linked to specific salad experiences and their recipes used Dole Salads blends and kits.
