The site, www.dolesalads.com, contains hundreds of new recipes, educational content, serving suggestions, entertaining tips and promotions, according to a news release from Monterey, Calif.-based Dole Fresh Vegetables.
The site will be frequently updated, including several new items in the coming months. Along with Dole’s Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest pages, the new site reflects a growing interaction with consumers.
“The new Dole Salads website represents a digital version of our long-term mission to encourage consumers to eat more fruits and vegetables and to see salads as more than a side dish,” Michelle Gonsalves, director of marketing for Dole Fresh Vegetables, said in the release. “We’ve added hundreds of new and unique recipes, beautiful photos, helpful tips and creative serving ideas that you wouldn’t expect to find on a salad website.”
The result, Gonsalves said, is a constantly changing destination specifically designed to inspire and get people excited about eating greens.
