Dole Food Co. Inc., Westlake Village, Calif., recently earned the Segundo Wong Award through its Dale Foundation. The foundation is responsible for Dole’s Ecuadorian and Peruvian social responsibility endeavors, according to a news release.
“We are honored to receive this prestigious award,” Sylvain Cuperlier, Dole’s vice president of corporate responsibility and sustainability said in a news release. “From building schools to implementing medical records and HIV/AIDS prevention programs, Dole and the Dale Foundation do so much good work in the region. We hope that this inspirational relationship continues for years to come.”
The award was given May 28 during the International Banana Forum in Guayaquil, Ecuador.
The Dale Foundation, which began in 2001, designs and runs corporate social responsibility programs for Dole’s subsidiaries in Ecuador and Peru, according to a news release.
