Domino’s Pizza honored Ready Pac Foods Inc. for the company’s contributions as a supplier to the pizza chain.

Irwindale, Calif.-based Ready Pac received a Supply Partner Award at the World Wide Rally Supply Partner Summit & Expo May 14-16 in Las Vegas.

Ready Pac provides Domino’s with bagged and bowl salads, grape tomatoes, baby spinach, shredded carrots, peppers and onions, said Tristan Simpson, director of marketing.

The award was presented to Jeff Herdeg, Ready Pac’s director of foodservice national accounts, according to a news release. Herdeg has been with Domino’s for four years.

“For the past several years, Ready Pac has been our primary supplier of leafy greens,” Phillip Worley, director of purchasing for Domino’s Pizza, said in the release. “They continue to take on the challenges that we bring them and they have become a true strategic partner.”

Worley credited Ready Pac with providing emergency deliveries in the Northeast during bad weather and operational challenges in 2011.

Ready Pac also supported Domino’s retail store project by sharing market research and providing grab-and-go items.
