Duda Farm Fresh Foods Inc., plans to launch a new product line at the Produce Marketing Association’s Fresh Summit.

At the show, scheduled for Oct. 17-19 in Anaheim, Calif., Duda Farm Fresh Foods, the fresh division of Oviedo, Fla.-based A. Duda & Sons Inc., plans to introduce a line of ready-to-eat radishes.

Duda to launch fresh-cut radish line, host bloggers at PMAThe Ready Radishes line includes cut and trimmed radishes, radish coins and Radish MiniSticks and Duda at its booth plans to feature the items as ingredients in award-winning original recipes, according to a news release.

The launch is part of Duda wanting to bring a fresh approach to its business by introducing products and doing things differently, Nichole Towell, director of marketing, said in the release.

“We saw an opportunity to innovate in the radish category — offering new forms with compelling product benefits,” Towell said in the release. “After exploring billions of potential combinations for new radish products, we chose the top three as items consumers would purchase with the most amount of frequency.”

Duda’s research shows the products could attract radish lovers and younger non-radish purchasers who may be discouraged by preparatory time and product unfamiliarity, Towell said in the release.

On Oct. 18-19, chefs plan to serve various recipes featuring radish sticks and celery and Duda plans to participate in #TeamFreshSummit, a social street team project that has invited 16 food bloggers to blog live from the PMA show floor.

Duda looks forward to the new eyes and experiences the bloggers plan to bring to the show, Towell said in the release.
