Organic grower-shipper Earthbound Farm completed a series of promotions and hires in the early months of 2013, moves aimed at supporting expected growth.
Craig Hope was named chief customer and marketing officer, expanding his role to head marketing as well as sales. Hope joined San Juan Bautista, Calif.-based Earthbound Farm in 2010 as chief customer officer, leading sales. He previously held roles at Kraft, Nabisco and Distant Lands Coffee.
Nathalie Fontanilla was promoted to vice president of product innovation, according to a news release. She’s been at Earthbound Farm since 2001 and was previously director of product innovation. She now leads innovation for salads and fresh produce, frozen fruits and vegetables, snacks, beverages and packaging enhancements.
Samantha Cabaluna was promoted to vice president of marketing, public relations and communications. At Earthbound since 2003, she had been director of communications and marketing. Cabaluna is responsible for marketing and communications initiatives for the brand, including packaging design; trade; digital; events; public relations; social media; and communications. She also serves on the board of the Organic Trade Association.
Jessica Harris, associate trade marketing manager, was promoted to trade marketing manager.
Earthbound Farm named Andrea Birskovich public relations, social media and marketing manager. She develops social media, blogger, and integrated marketing campaigns and promotions.
Jeff Davis was named customer development director and manages Earthbound’s business with Whole Foods Market. Davis was previous national sales manager at Nature’s Path Foods.
Dallas-based Melissa Celeste, formerly of Promised Land Dairy, joined Earthbound Farm as customer development manager for the U.S. Central Region.
A recently created position, territory customer development representative manager, includes three on the West Coast and two on the East Coast.
Brittany Larkin is the new South Bay Area territory manager. She was previously a retail sales representative with The Hershey Co. Andrew Scalzo, a former client customer manager at Acosta, was named territory manager for Southern California. Jared Smith, at Earthbound since 2011 as the first territory manager, continues to manage California’s North Bay and Sacramento territory.
On the East Coast, John Chere, former territory salesman for Hostess Brands, took is responsible for New Jersey. Chris Visone, previously area sales manager for Vita Coco, is managing Earthbound’s New York market.
