Exopack Holdings S.A. has rebranded itself. The Chicago-based company, now named Coveris, is a combination of U.S. company Exopack and European companies Britton Group, PACCOR, Kobusch, and Paragon Print & Packaging.

Coveris is an affiliated portfolio company of Sun Capital Partners, Inc.

Coveris produces flexible and rigid plastic and paper packaging, as well as advanced coatings from operations in 21 countries around the world. Because the company has been using its previous five brand names since the formation in May, Coveris decided to rebrand itself as a single organization.

The name Coveris comes from “cover,” in an effort to market the quality protection of the company’s products, according to a news release, The new Coveris graphic identity and Web site will be released in coming months.

“Uniting all of our operations as Coveris is much more than just a name change. It enables us to more efficiently deploy our technology and capabilities to our customers in every market, and is a clear indicator of our commitment to upholding the highest standards of excellence in all of our working relationships,” said Michael Cronin, chief executive officer of Global Flexible business, in a news release.

In addition, the business unified under a single financial structure, allowing the company to further invest in technology.
