The Food Marketing Institute, Arlington, Va., has a new director of food safety programs.
Terry Levee, the new director, worked for 19 years at Winn-Dixie Stores Inc., Jacksonville, Fla., as its technical, scientific and regulatory expert for food safety and quality assurance, according to FMI’s news release. He then worked at Giant Food Stores LLC, an Ahold USA company based in Carlisle, Penn., where he monitored its food safety, and ensured it met Ahold, Giant, local, state and federal standards.
Levee was a member of FMI’s food protection committee, and is a member of the Association of Food and Drug Officials, and he serves on the executive board for the Conference for Food Protection.
