The Fresh Produce Association of the Americas, Nogales, Ariz., has appointed Allison Moore as director of legislative and regulatory affairs.
Moore has been with the FPAA since 2001 and previously was the communications director, according to a news release.
She will work with the president and senior leadership on government issues and continues working on high-level communications issues.
“Allison increasingly has helped set the tone for FPAA in its in regulatory and legislative issues,” Lance Jungmeyer, president of FPAA said in the release. “In this role, she will continue to expand her knowledge and activity in these areas.”
Moore helped in setting up a recent event for FPAA, the Border Economic Conference. This Nov. 26 conference attracted more than 80 key individuals from the public and private sectors, including 30 Arizona legislators, to an educational session in Phoenix, according to the release.
“As FPAA expands its footprint in border states, as well as at the federal level, we need a point person who can address not only immediate concerns but also long-term strategic goals,” Jungmeyer said in the release.
