This marks the fifth year the Rosenhayn, N.J.-based fresh-cut processor has achieved the certification, according to a news release.
“The SQF 2000 Level 3 Certification is something our company is thrilled to achieve,” Sam Pipitone, president and chief executive officer, said in the release. “It takes a total commitment by each employee every day to maintain these high standards and this re-certification is verification of our company’s commitment to this initiative.”
The certification is a global comprehensive food safety and quality management system many U.S. food processors request and many of F&S’ customers are requiring the company possess the certification, according to the release.
F&S works closely with its retail, deli, foodservice and industrial customers’ R&D and quality assurance departments to ensure the company’s products meet customers’ needs in food safety and other areas, company officials said in the release.
F&S is a manufacturer and marketer of fresh-cut produce and other refrigerated value-added products.
