Farmer’s Best International, Nogales, Ariz., is helping educate retail workers.

It is expanding its series of commodity handling guides that feature category tips from industry experts and university research, according to the company’s news release.

It will also offer a toolbox of guidelines and programs to help retailers drive shoppers to produce displays.

The company will also be using social media and the Internet this season.

The release says Farmer’s Best’s actions are part of a wider trend, in which retailers’ reduced budgets and management cutbacks mean they rely on suppliers to help educate their workers and shoppers.
