An auction is scheduled for Feb. 27 to sell 2,620 acres of citrus grove land in Indiantown, Fla.

Murray Wise AssociatesFormerly owned by Palm City, Fla.-based Indian Sun Groves, the irrigated land is bordered by the St. Lucie Canal. It is scheduled to be sold in eight tracts, ranging from 58 acres to 802 acres, according to a news release.

“This former high-producing citrus grove is in an ideal location for growing a wide range of vegetables, with good irrigation and drainage infrastructure already in place,” Murray Wise, chief executive officer of Champaign, Ill.-based Murray Wise Associates LLC auction company, said in the release. “It’s suitable for numerous crops such as tomatoes, citrus, peppers, melons, cucumbers and green beans, with some acres already in vegetable production.”

Winter Haven, Fla.-based agriculture real estate brokerage Crosby & Associates Inc., is assisting with the auction.
