The Produce for Better Health Foundation created the Freshen Up & Pin Up consumer challenge for Fruits & Veggies — More Matters month in September.

In the challenge, consumers will pin photos of their dishes that have been “freshened up” with fruit and veggies.

The challenge board, where the photos will be pinned, will run Sept. 1-30.

The winners will be announced on Oct. 1, and will be decided based on the total combined number of likes and re-pins of the top five pins, according to a news release.

The grand-prize winner will receive $1,500.

“The Freshen Up & Pin Up consumer challenge is a fun and easy way for everyone to eat more fruit and vegetables while celebrating Fruits & Veggies — More Matters month,” Elizabeth Pivonka, president and chief executive officer of PBH, said in the release. “We’ve created a marketing toolkit filled with graphics, copy for newsletters and websites, and sample social media posts for our donors, supporters, and network of health professionals to help us promote the challenge.”
