The 43rd annual event is Nov. 3-5 at Tubac Golf Resort & Spa near Nogales, Ariz., according to a news release.
The convention is scheduled to start Nov. 3 with warehouse tours and educational sessions on the Mexican produce industry. Tour topics will include solar programs, organics, sustainability, packaging technology, global sourcing and traceability.
That same day, session topics include FPAA goals in Arizona, lobbying activities, trucking, food safety, traceability and Mariposa port construction. Grinstead is expected to comment on some of those issues and discuss what foodservice buyers are looking for.
A panel discussion is expected to feature J.B. Manson, chairman of the Greater Nogales and Santa Cruz County Port Authority; John Halikowski, director of the Arizona Department of Transportation; and David Higgerson, director of field operations for U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
“Our educational components are really designed to highlight the Mexican produce industry, including the opportunities and challenges that we deal with on a daily basis,” Lance Jungmeyer, FPAA president, said in the release.
