Fresh Produce and Floral Council, La Mirada, Calif., has made changes to the quarterly FPFC Market Report.

The Market Report includes dollar and volume sales data for California’s four major markets: Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Diego and San Francisco. Each market now includes an executive summary that provides information about important trends.

Reporting periods have also been changed from 12 to 13 weeks and fruit and vegetable category data now includes variety-level information on many commodities.

In addition, there is a “Top Ten” summary by dollars, volume, growth and seasonality and a “Lookback” section that reports historical trends for the upcoming quarter.

The new Market Report also has an expanded data set that includes sales and volume from Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club, Target, BJ’s, and other grocery retailers.

The first changes to the Market Report were made in 2013.
