Processor inks deal with broker

New England fresh-cut processor Fresh Valley Foods Corp. has entered into a partnership with a brokerage to market fresh-cut produce.

Haverhill, Mass.-based Fresh Valley signed a deal with A. J. Letizio Sales & Marketing Inc. of Windham, N.H.

Under the agreement, Letizio becomes Fresh Valley’s exclusive retail broker in New England and New York for Fresh Valley’s line of fresh-cut produce sold to supermarkets and foodservice accounts, according to a news release.

“(With) A. J. Letizio’s outstanding reputation and ability to represent us in the marketplace, we will bring extra savings to our retailers and greater value to our retail customers,” C.J. Gangi, Fresh Valley’s general manager, said in the release.

Letizio markets meat, deli, bakery, seafood to retailers, as well as foodservice products to customers throughout the Northeast, according to Letizio’s website.

Founded in 2010, Fresh Valley produces fresh-cut fruits and vegetables under Freshen Ready, All Natural, Fresh 21 and Fresh Valley labels.
