Sun World International, Coachella, Calif., has hired a facilities and operations director and promoted someone to an executive grower relation and licensing position.
Tom Clark is now director of southern facilities and operations. Clark’s responsibilities include managing staff and packing and cold storage operations. Clark was general manager of LoBue Citrus and has experience in management of citrus packing and cold storage operations in California’s San Joaquin Valley, according to a news release.
Joe Sanchez has been promoted to North American director of grower relations and licensing, based at Sun World’s Bakersfield office. Sanchez is responsible for all sourcing and licensing activities in the San Joaquin Valley and Mexico. His responsibilities include the management of Sun World’s California stone fruit licensing business and he will oversee grower relations and licensing staff in Hermosillo, Mexico.
Sanchez has worked for Sun World since 2007 and previously managed the company’s Coachella facility.
