The Sidney-based company has grown from five employees and an 8,000-square foot facility at its founding to 400 employees and a 100,000-square-foot facility today, according to a news release.
Many of Freshway’s employees have been with the company, which was founded by co-owners Frank and Phil Gilardi, for 20 or more years.

Freshway’s distribution area now covers more than 60% the U.S. population. In 2003, the company created Freshway Logistics, a fleet of 41 power units and 53 trailers that serves customers east of the Mississippi from Maine to Florida.
Looking ahead, Freshway values its loyal work force.
