Karen Caplan, chief executive officer of Frieda’s Inc., is the keynote speaker for an agribusiness workshop at the University of California-Davis.
Caplan’s scheduled topic March 11 at the university’s conference center is “How Strategic Planning Almost Put Me Out of Business.” The two-day workshop March 11-12 is for agribusiness executives and middle managers, according to a news release.
Other presentations include case studies and panel discussion of regulations. Other presenters are Jill Benson, co-owner of JS West and Companies; Stephen Meyer of Downey Brand Attorneys; and Richard Sexton, professor at the university’s Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics.
Industry executives are expected to include representatives of Sun-Maid, Prather Ranch, Valley Farm Management Co. and others.
