Love Your Produce Manager Day was April 2. Frieda’s started the event in 2012 to recognize the role produce managers play in increasing consumption.

Participants included:

  • The Produce Mom;
  • Indianapolis Fruit Co.;
  • Produce for Better Health Foundation;
  • Alsum Farms & Produce;
  • Concord Foods;
  • Four Seasons Produce;
  • GloboFruit LLC;
  • Produce Retailer magazine;
  • Royal Rose Radicchio; and

“We hope that more produce-centric companies and organizations will join us next year on April 2 as we once again encourage consumers to give shout-outs to their favorite produce managers,” Karen Caplan, Frieda’s president and chief executive officer, said in a news release.

“These men and women work hard to make the produce department a destination for shoppers, and for that we are grateful,” Lori Taylor, author of The Produce Mom blog, said in the release.
