Del Monte
Del Monte Fresh Produce NA Inc., Coral Gables, Fla., has a new line of fresh-cut potatoes in a microwaveable pack. Vice president of marketing Dennis Christou says the 1.5-pound bags can be cooked in the microwave in 11 minutes, without opening or preparing them in any way. He says they should retail for about $4.99, and they come in russet, red and Yukon gold varieties.

Dole
Bil Goldfield, communications manager for Westlake Village, Calif.-based Dole Fresh Fruit Co. Inc., said the company plans to position its bananas as nature’s energy bar for a summer promotion. He said the nutritional value of a banana is virtually the same as a normal energy bar for a fraction of the price. Goldfield said the promotion is timed to coincide with Dole’s tie-in with the kids’ movie “Madagascar 3.”

Dade Service
Daytona Beach, Fla.-based Dade Service Corp. is redesigning its website, www.dadeservice.com. The new site will feature more information and photos of the design-and-construction firms’ facilities for produce ripening and cold storage, said Ashley Perryman, marketing and sales coordinator. The site will go live soon, Perryman said.

Fred WilkinsonEasy Fold Fixtures
Michelle Frederickson-Coles, sales manager for Kent, Wash.-based Easy Fold Fixtures, and Gary Vetsch, general manager of Kent-based Precision Tool & Die, show the Easy Fold box assembly fixture, which offers increased productivity and lower labor costs, Frederickson-Coles says. Precision makes the fixtures, which are low maintenance and can be custom-sized for a wide range of boxes.
