Full Circle names CEO

Full CircleSeattle-based organic food delivery service Full Circle has named Michael Smith chief executive officer.

Co-founder Andrew Stout plans to end his role as chief executive officer but remain chairman and oversee operations at Full Circle’s 400-acre farm in Carnation, Wash., according to a news release.

Smith is the former chief executive officer of Avelle, which offers online rental of purses, jewelry and sunglasses. Previously he held the same title at Classmates.com and Lands’ End Inc., and was president of Nordstrom.com.

Smith serves on the board of directors for consumer co-op REI.

Full Circle has more than 18,000 members for its subscription produce business. It delivers local and organic produce and artisan groceries to consumers.

“Mike Smith is a leader with a proven track record in helping grow businesses, online and off, and we know he will provide the vision and focus our operations need to move to the next level,” Stout said in the release.

Stout founded the company with his wife, Wendy Munroe.
