The educational seminar at the Georgia Watermelon Association’s annual meeting will feature presentations by North Carolina State University and University of Georgia scientists.

Jonathan Schultheis, extension leader in horticultural science at North Carolina State, and David Langston, a plant pathologist for the University of Georgia-Tifton, will speak Jan. 25 at the annual meeting, which is Jan. 24-26 at the Sea Palms Golf and Tennis Resort in St. Simons, Ga., according to an association news release.

Schultheis will discuss watermelon varieties, and Langston is scheduled to talk about phytophthora fruit rot and fusarium wilt.
