Gourmet Trading Co., Los Angeles, has appointed Brian Miller as its president.
Miller will succeed the late Chris Martin, Gourmet Trading’s former chief executive officer and president, according to a news release.
Martin died earlier this year and had been the company’s president since 1988.
Before being appointed in his role as president, Miller served as vice president of sales, sales manager and salesman for Gourmet Trading, according to the release.
“While the circumstances are less than ideal, it is with great pride and honor that I accept this new position as president of Gourmet Trading Co.,” Miller said in the release. “I feel lucky to have worked for Chris for 12 years, thankful to have learned so much from him and I look forward to continuing his legacy through the continued growth and success of Gourmet Trading Company.”
Martin, Gourmet Trading’s president since 1988, died July 23 of an apparent heart attack while on vacation with his family in Santa Barbara, Calif.
