Gourmet Trading Co., Los Angeles, expects to begin its Oregon blueberry season in early July.
The season is planned to start after Independence Day, according to a news release.
Courtesy of Gourmet Trading Gourmet Trading is anticipating a large blueberry crop until the end of September.
“The current crop in Oregon looks to be a strong one,” said Scott Hulsey, vice president of procurement, in the release. “We are excited about the possibilities for the fruit and market this season.”
This is the third year growing in Oregon for Gourmet Trading and the company is hoping for a higher production, according to the release.
The blueberries will be available in the Gourmet Trading Company and Green Giant Fresh labels.
