The California Table Grape Commission has named Jeff Cardinale vice president of communications and given increased responsibilities to Cindy Plummer for advertising and Jane Lytle for foodservice.
Plummer, vice president of domestic marketing, is now supervising advertising and the organization’s global campaign. During her 12 years at the Fresno, Calif.-based commission, she has led its retail and foodservice efforts in the U.S. and Canada.
Jane Lytle, marketing director, has taken primary responsibility for developing and directing the foodservice program, according to a news release. She’s been with the commission for 17 years and has experience in both foodservice and retail programs.
“These moves represent a seamless transition of responsibility that takes advantage of internal talent and interest,” Kathleen Nave, commission president, said of Plummer and Lytle in the release.
Cardinale has a 15-year background as a television news producer in markets that included Fresno and San Francisco. A winner of five Emmy awards, he joined the commission March 1.
Cardinale handles consumer education, health outreach and media communications.
Trade, consumer and foodservice campaigns for the California table grape season are planned to start in May.
