Promotable volumes of Wonderful Halos from Paramount Citrus are now available at retailers as the Los Angeles company begins selling mandarins under its new brand.

Previously Paramount and Pasadena-based Sun Pacific Cos. jointly owned the Cuties brand, which Paramount used to market clementines and mandarins.

A rift between Sun Pacific’s owner Berne Evans and Stewart Resnick, the owner of Paramount’s parent company, Roll Global, ended with the Pasadena company buying the rights to the Cuties brand.

By using the well-known Wonderful brand to market the Halos, Paramount officials have said they hope to retain consumers’ attention because of the effect Wonderful Pistachios and Pom Wonderful pomegranates and juices have had in recent years.

Wonderful Halos are grown only in California, according to a news release from Paramount. The seedless fruits are available in 3-pound bags, 5-pound bags and 5-pound boxes. Paramount is marketing Wonderful Halos to traditional grocery retailers and club stores nationwide.

not sure who is making all the commercials, yet they are sick. They are showing kids being rude, not sharing,smart-mouth kids. Why not show some kid in bed w/flu-cold,in that line. Then the her-his friends come in shareing and telling all how the Halos will make the sick kid feel better too. Or sick mom-dad and the kids is sharing the Halos. STOP making kids being so RUDE!!AND SELFISH
