Former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will be the keynote speaker June 10 at a joint general session of the United Fresh Produce Association and Food Marketing Institute in Chicago.
The keynote session is scheduled for 3:30 to 5 p.m. in the Arie Crown Theater at McCormick Place.
Participation in the session is available only to attendees who are signed up for the FMI or United Fresh educational package. The program is expected to attract several thousand attendees, according to a news release.
Wonderful Brands is sponsoring the joint general session.
“We are honored to have Secretary Clinton as our keynote speaker for this very special event,” United Fresh President and chief executive officer Tom Stenzel said in the release.
“Secretary Clinton’s participation will bring a special energy to our general session and we are looking forwarding to hearing her insights,” said FMI president and chief executive officer Leslie Sarasin.
Clinton, a former First Lady and U.S. senator, was Secretary of State from 2009 until 2013.
