Scott Hanses has been promoted from vice president to chief operating officer at Yakima, Wash.-based Holtzinger Fruit Co.
The company exclusively serves independent growers. As vice president, Hanses oversaw development of grower services, according to a news release.
“This promotion ... reflects the continuing value and contribution Scott makes every day to the overall success of the company,” David Lawrence, president, said in the release. “Thirty years of Washington fruit experience makes Scott uniquely qualified to continue to drive Holtzinger to be the best place for the independent grower to entrust his fruit.”
Holtzinger Fruit also named Lawna Wyatt vice president of fruit procurement.
Besides procurement, Wyatt will manage grower relations for the packer, shipper and marketer.
She was previously director of fruit procurement and grower services for Tree Top, working in the Medford, Ore., area. Earlier, she was vice president of fruit acquisition and sales at Medford-based Harry & David.
Success in Holtzinger Fruit’s independent grower program created the need for the additional position, Lawrence said in the release.
