The tournament, scheduled for April 19 at the Panther Golf Course in The Woodlands, Texas, is a fundraiser for the HFFVA’s Let’s Move Salad Bars to Schools initiative. At last year’s tournament, the group pledged 20 salad bars to Houston schools. To date, three have been delivered and tournament co-chair Craig Slate, director of retail sales for Houston-based IFCO Services, said organizers hope to be able to deliver five more this year.

“We are thrilled to have both of these individuals present at this year’s tournament,” Slate said. “Cody will give us some insight into Commissioner Staples’ Lt. Gov. campaign, while Deputy DeBerry will share his personal produce experience along with opportunities their office is currently addressing.”
