I.D. Systems Inc. has landed a retail customer.
The Woodcliff, N.J.-based wireless systems provider received a purchase order from an important retail chain to implement I.D.’s system, according to a news release.
I.D. Systems didn’t identify the customer, but in the release said it is one of the largest U.S. grocery chains.
The chain plans to use I.D. Systems’ copyrighted PowerFleet wireless vehicle management system on its fleet of lift trucks at its distribution centers, according to the release.
The order is valued at $450,000, according to the release.
“We are very pleased to add another Fortune 100 end user to our customer base through one of our strategic channel partners,” Kenneth Ehrman, I.D. Systems’s president, said in the release. “Companies in the food industry typically have forklift-intensive operating environments, and our (system) provides best-practice tools for managing safety, maintenance, efficiency and productivity for industrial truck fleets.”
